Maia, Portugal — January 2025
Fusão Enigmática, PYROCY's origin facility located in Maia, Portugal, has reached full operational status — marking the culmination of a construction and commissioning process that began in September 2023.
The plant processes residual polyolefin plastic streams — primarily PE and PP films and rigid plastics that have reached the end of their recyclable life — converting them through an oxygen-free thermal process into commercial-grade pyrolysis oil. The oil is produced under a secured offtake agreement, with 100% of output committed to an established industrial buyer from day one of production.
The facility operates fully automated under SCADA control, with a stable two-operator shift team managing continuous industrial operation. Yield performance is consistent with design parameters, and all operational data is documented and available for review by potential co-investment partners.
For PYROCY, this milestone carries significance well beyond the Portuguese operation itself. Fusão Enigmática is not simply a plant — it is the proof of concept for a global replication model. Every performance figure, yield range, and operational procedure published by PYROCY is drawn directly from this facility. It is the asset that transforms the investment case from a projection into a documented reality.
Potential investors and project development partners are invited to visit the operating facility in Portugal, review performance data firsthand, and meet the operational team. PYROCY's transparency policy is straightforward: if the numbers hold up under scrutiny — and they do — there is no reason to keep them behind a presentation.
With full production now confirmed, PYROCY turns its attention to the global platform — developing joint-venture projects with local operating partners across Europe, MENA, and beyond, each built to the same proven standard as the facility now running in Portugal.
José Marques, CEO of IncBio and Founder of PYROCY, stated: "This plant is the foundation of everything we are building. It is not a pilot, not a demonstration, and not a projection. It is an operating industrial asset producing real oil from real waste, with real buyers. That is the standard every PYROCY project will be held to."
