Porto, Portugal — July 2019

IncBio has signed its first contract in the field of pyrolysis — a thermochemical conversion technology that transforms organic material into liquid and solid by-products through an oxygen-free thermal process.

The project, located in Spain, involves the design and engineering of a biomass pyrolysis system. Specific details of the contract remain confidential under a non-disclosure agreement.

For IncBio, the significance of this contract extends beyond its immediate scope. Pyrolysis — whether applied to biomass, spent organics, or plastic waste — shares the same core engineering principles: controlled thermal decomposition, vapour condensation, and liquid fraction recovery. The process knowledge, reactor design expertise, and operational understanding developed through this project would become central to IncBio's subsequent work in plastic and tyre pyrolysis.

This contract marks the beginning of a pyrolysis engineering capability that has since been refined across multiple projects and feedstock types — and that today forms the technical backbone of the PYROCY platform.
