Portugal — September 2025

PYROCY has signed a contract for the development of a second plastic pyrolysis plant in Portugal, marking the first replication of its operating model beyond the founding Fusão Enigmática facility.

The contract covers the engineering, supply, and commissioning of a new modular pyrolysis unit, built to the same proven design and operational standards as the plant already running in Maia, Portugal. The facility will process residual plastic streams and produce commercial-grade pyrolysis oil under an offtake structure consistent with the existing operation.

In line with the terms of the agreement, specific details of the project — including location, capacity, and partner identity — remain confidential under a non-disclosure agreement. Full details will be disclosed once the plant reaches operational status.

The signing of this contract, coinciding with the formal launch of the PYROCY platform, carries clear strategic significance. It demonstrates that the replication model is not theoretical — a second plant has been contracted before the platform's public launch, on the strength of the operating data from the first.

For prospective project partners and investors, this milestone provides an important data point: the demand for PYROCY's modular pyrolysis model is already translating into signed commercial agreements, not just expressions of interest.

José Marques, CEO of PYROCY, stated: "The fact that we are contracting a second plant at the same moment we are launching the global platform is not a coincidence. The operating data from Portugal speaks for itself. We will share full details on this project as soon as the plant is running."
